ABOUT THE FILM:
Research has proven there is a dangerous biological syndrome caused by abuse and neglect in childhood.
A one hour documentary, RESILIENCE, reveals that toxic stress caused by adverse childhood experiences can trigger hormones that wreak havoc on the brains & bodies of children, impacting them for life and increasing their risk of disease, homelessness, prison time, even early death.
But there is hope. Experts and practitioners featured in the documentary speak to the promising research backed national movement happening right now, to prevent childhood trauma, treat toxic stress and trauma, break cycles of adversity and greatly improve the health of future generations.
