There are children of all backgrounds and ages who are waiting for their forever families.

Omarianah

Omarianah

Omarianah is a bright, active, and resilient girl in need of a loving and permanent family that is committed to nurturing her and supporting her growth and development. Omarianah is eleven years old and loves anything and everything that has to do with music. She enjoys learning and choreographing dance moves to different songs. Omarianah also likes football and basketball. Her physical education teacher described her as, “the most naturally athletically talented student” with whom she has ever worked.  While Omarianah has some behavioral difficulties due to her history of trauma, she thrives in a family setting and excels in school. Omarianah needs a family committed to joining her on her journey to adulthood and is supportive of all the characteristics that make her an engaging and funny child.

Sha'leir

Sha’leir is a bright, sweet, empathetic boy in need of a loving and permanent family that is committed to nurturing him and supporting his growth and development. He is only eight years old and able to describe his thoughts and feelings clearly, which makes a lasting impression on everyone with whom he interacts.  A professional who worked with Sha’leir recently said, “He is so precious. His insights and empathy are better developed than some adults I know.” Although Sha’leir has had some behavioral challenges that have resulted from his history of trauma including the separation from his birth family, he is friendly, engaging, respectful, and articulate. He loves superheroes and someday wants to participate in karate.

Sha'Leir

Brian is a polite, thoughtful, and kind youth who likes to play sports outdoors, go bike riding, and fly planes and kites!  He enjoys quiet activities too, such as listening to music, playing cards, board and video games. Brian is very sociable; he looks forward to spending time with people and being an average teen.  Although Brian missed a lot of his early education and has an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) for a learning disability, he is working diligently and making good strides with his academics.   Brian is very insightful and introspective about himself and his life. He is soft-spoken and has good manners, often expressing appreciation to those around him.

Christian

Christian is an active, affectionate, curious, and fun-loving

8-year-old boy of Hispanic heritage. He is currently in 3rd grade and doing well. He loves basketball, playing video games, and riding his bike. He enjoys attention from adults and tends to be a little awkward with peers. He has experienced much loss but continues to be open to the prospect of finding a loving and permanent family. Christian is truly a wonderful little boy with much love to give in the right adoptive family. Christian would do best in a two-parent family with no other children, as he would thrive on lots of nurturance and attention.

Davryanna

Davryanna is a fun-loving and helpful 15-year-old girl who loves basketball and dancing. She is currently residing at Murphey School and is in the 9th grade. Teachers comment she is helpful in the classroom and always tries her best. Davryanna has had significant trauma in her life and can be mistrustful and hesitant with unfamiliar adults and peers. She can be shy and withdrawn when uncomfortable or anxious. She would do well with an African-American or bi-racial two-parent family as a single child or with other children at home. Although she has struggled in the past with openness to potential adoptive resources, she seems much more emotionally ready and excited about the prospect of joining a permanent, loving family.
