HONORING A VISIONARY LEADER

After 28 years of dedicated service to Children & Families First, our CEO Leslie Newman will retire at the end of 2019. Leslie has forged a courageous trail boldly advocating for our most vulnerable children and their families:

  • Improving outcomes for pregnant mothers and newborns by bringing nurse home visiting to Delaware; Turning cutting edge brain science research into practice across our continuum to successfully combat the life-long negative impacts of child abuse and neglect;

  • and Helping spearhead trauma informed knowledge and practices statewide.

In truth, it has been our honor to have Leslie lead Children & Families First, driving our mission forward. The positive impact she has made in the lives of our Board and staff; of those we serve; and throughout our communities is immeasurable.
