Divorcing Parents
Separation and divorce can be one of the most stressful experiences a family will go through. Children & Families First offers workshops for these families, through its Delaware Cares program. Certified by the State of Delaware, Delaware Cares meets the requirements established by Family Court for divorcing or separating parents and those with custody or visitation disputes and their children ages 8 to 16.
The workshops are designed to strengthen parent/child relationships, help parents understand and meet their child's emotional needs, and to help family members develop skills to solve problems and deal with conflict. Parallel sessions are held for parents and their children who are between the age of 8 and 16.
Classes are held once a month statewide in our offices and other community locations. Classes are available in English and Spanish. Click
