ARC
Counselor/Educator
Program centered on teens/sexuality. Classroom work in local schools, and individual counseling in community and agency clinics. BSW or related field with previous experience in counseling adolescents, preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Full-time during the school year; reduced hours during summer (7.5 hours/week for 10 weeks in the summer). Some evening work. Excellent written/verbal communication skills with a comfort with public speaking/classroom presentations, required. Located in New Castle County. Full benefits package.
Medical Assistants
Program centered on teens/sexuality. Set up exam room and assist medical provider while performing exams. Experience in phlebotomy with training in performing weight and blood pressure checking, required. High school diploma/GED required. Previous experience working in a medical environment, preferred. 2 positions: 1 in New Castle, and 1 in Kent County. 3 hours, one afternoon/evening per week (Thursdays, only). No benefits.
Seaford House
House Counselor I/Relief Counselor (multiple)
Seaford House, our adolescent residential treatment center is in need of House Counselors. The positions require a H.S. diploma or GED. Supervise and guide residents through daily routine/schedule utilizing the program’s Behavior Modification Program. Counsel residents in appropriate living, social interaction, self care/personal hygiene and related skills; crisis intervention counseling as needed, which may include using passive restraint techniques. Drug testing and criminal background checks are required. Previous counseling experience, preferably with adolescents. Previous experience in an RTC setting is a plus. The RTC is a 24/7 operation so availability to work weekends and nights is also a requirement. Based in Seaford, Delaware. Part-time/hourly.
